"My kids do not have sweet tooth; they have sweet teeth." A good friend once said that I could relate to her. Who does not like dessert? No kid can refuse an ice cream or Popsicle on a hot summer day. We all know that consuming refined/processed sugar has detrimental health effects. (1) (2) We all choose the best for our kids. So, why not choose desserts that are naturally sweet, flavorful, and devoid of added sugar or artificial sweeteners? Besides, we all deserve a guilt-free, refreshing, healthy treat. So, try this Mango Pineapple Popsicle recipe this summer and enjoy this healthy dessert.

I got the idea of making popsicles, as I often make mango pineapple smoothies for my mom with turmeric root and ginger added. That helps her with her arthritis pain. Ginger and turmeric root has synergistic health benefits for our body. (3) (4) This humble pair has numerous health benefits, from relieving pain to supporting our immune system. These spices are anti-inflammatory, soothing to your digestive tract, protective against environmental toxins, and taste great. Summer is the season for mangoes as they are abundantly produced. It is deliciously juicy and full of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Enjoy this humble fruit before the season goes off. Mangoes pair well with pineapple and together yield a delightfully sweet taste. I have added an equal amount of mango and pineapple. Although this is entirely customizable, you can optimize the quantity of the fruits according to your palette. I am using fresh fruits here. Using frozen fruits is also an option. You can store these popsicles in an airtight container for three months.
